R.I.P. Harvey Pekar

I became aware of Harvey Pekar about five years ago through the auspices of a film about his life (or a film about the comic book about his life), American Splendor. The film is really good: a sterling performance by Paul Giamatti, and I wholly recommend it as both an interesting character study and a look at an interesting field of writing -- autobiographical underground comics.
